Your IP's

With this function you can find out what IP addresses are used in your network. This function is especially useful for people with a dynamic IP address. When clicking it, it will show your internal IP address (with a computer next to it) and the external IP (with a globe next to it). When your computer is not part of a network, there might be no internal IP address.

People connecting to your server need to know the external IP address. This external IP address needs to be forwarded to your local computer. How this is done is however out of the scope of this manual. Refer to your router's manual or ask your network administrator about port forwarding.

Please note

This function can be disabled. Take a look at the Main Config section of this manual for more information.
This feature will not work if your firewall is blocking outgoing connections to TCP port 80 (HTTP).
The external IP detection service might be offline from time to time. You can then use a service like WhatIsMyIP.com to find out your external IP address.
